The Academy of Art of Highland Park (since 1998) is a premier, classical teaching studio in the visual arts, serving practitioners at all levels of experience and knowledge. All classes and all aspects of studio and field practice focus on the craft of the artist, and in the remarkable strengths and joy that growing command of the craft always affords. Classes are completely individualized for all ages. The student practitioner works in small, age-relevant groups, at their own pace, pursuing their own themes, while learning the craft that is common to all strong practice in any of the 30 media we explore, under many art forms. Come enter creative practice as a practice, not as a rainy day activity. The door is open to one and all.
