Alewine School of Pottery offers classes for children and adults, of any skill level! Opportunities to learn the art of hand-building and throwing clay are available to both locals and out-of-towners, with options available for day classes and shipping. Please inquire about group rates or special events! Liza received her B.A. in Pottery from Vanderbilt University, and continued her graduate work in glaze chemistry, photography, and textiles. Liza has taught at Arrowmont School for Crafts and the Sevier County Cultural Arts Center, and created a multitude of commissioned and personal pieces. Some of her most notable commissions can be seen at the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington, D.C., and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
