Richard Daniel Rodriguez is a local artist trained in the classical tradition of 19th century training of artists in the craft of drawing, painting, and sculpture. He believes in training future artists in history and traditions of old masters so that they may be better able to express themselves in the language of the fine arts for our times. This begins with an intense study of the practice and science of drawing. Once a good grasp of the fundamentals are achieved, students are better able to handle other mediums such as painting and sculpture. Portrait commissions are also offered, along with original works for sale direct from the artist's studio.
