About

After a career as a working artist in New Orleans & 10 years teaching Middle and Upper School Art @ All Saints Episcopal School, I "retired". Tyler Art School opened in 2017 with a bright, sunny & spacious teaching studio for small classes.I care about my students & we get to know each other well! School-year semester art lessons for students age 7.5 and older begin after Labor Day. A 2nd semester starts in January. Classes focus, in a relaxed way, on developing essential foundational skills in drawing, painting, collage, and printmaking (with an occasional 3-D project). Lessons are based on Elements of Art & Principles of Design with Art History references. Popular Summer Camp sign-ups / mid-March,(don't delay)! Private lessons available.
